Thelonius

The Canadian silver-tongued young Thelonious is a Rapper/songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. With his classic 90’s boom-bap Hip-Hop style, he is representing his neighborhood of Rexdale with his clever words and storytelling. His inspirations and influences combine the sounds of The Notorious B.I.G. and A Tribe Called Quest with lyricisms familiar to Nas, Kendrick Lamar & Mos Def. Being raised in a musical household, his father a piano player and mother a singer, Thelonious developed a deep connection to his musical roots. His obsession with music grew stronger with studies on music history and the craft of writing. Thelonious’ lyrics combined with the classic grooves of Jazz, Funk & Soul that he was exposed to throughout his childhood developed into his own unique artistic style. The young musician has received recognition from social media platforms, consistent radio rotation and love from the community he calls home - hoping one day to be a positive figure in his environment, known so well for being ridden with crime. Currently Thelonious has a selection of music available, including his EP, One Summer’s Day and his new single, Trouble on My Mind featuring Shqdel. His first solo album is also currently in the works with his label, Three Entertainment Group.
